Dry Camping And Travel Tips With Levi: Episode 12

We’re closing up our fifth year as full time RVers with just a few more episodes of  Dry Camping and Travel Tips with Levi!  Our aim has been to provide helpful tips to RV newbies and hopefully share a bit more with veteran full timers on all things urban and primitive dry camping (a.k.a. boondocking).   Plus, we’ve thrown in general travel tips and safety pointers here and there. If  you missed the previous episodes, you can catch up here.

In Episode 12, Levi discovered that the chassis battery was boiling and not holding a charge. This was most likely due to the fact that the battery never charged when plugged into a power pedestal. The battery lost its charge while we sat for an extended period of time. The plates inside the battery became corroded and malfunctioned.

We ended up replacing the battery and purchased a battery charger that is intended for batteries that sit for a long time. It will not only charge the battery but maintain that charge long term which can possibly improve the life of the battery.

You can purchase the same charger featured in this video using our Amazon affiliate link here. Just a note, we do make a small commission on all sales made through our Amazon affiliate link(s). There is no additional cost to you for purchasing any items.
