A Workamper’s RV Departure List

We finished our workamping job at Bethpage Camp-Resort in Virginia. We’ll be working at the sugar beet harvest next. But first we need to pack up all of our belongings and make sure the RV is ready for a safe trip north. To do this, we’ll need to pull out our handy dandy RV departure checklist!

Time to Hit the Road Using our RV Departure Checklist

Our RV departure process is pretty simple, but executing it takes time. In a not-so-rushed situation, we like to take about 2 weeks to get ready. This is for three reasons: (1) we usually have something in the RV that needs to be repaired or replaced, (2) most of our tasks require us to work on the external portion of the RV, so we want good weather conditions for this, and (3) we are still working during these 2 weeks so we are limited on time. Two weeks gives us enough play room to get all of these little tasks done.

Using the Three Steps for a Smooth RV Departure

In the video below, we discuss the 3 major steps we take to ensure a smooth RV departure from our workamping sites. What are some things you do before leaving your workamping job?

More Information on How We use Workamping to Afford Full-Time RVing

We are able to full-time RV primarily because of the income we make with seasonal workamping jobs. If you are interested in learning more about this, check out our book, Seasonal Workamping for a Living: How We Did It. You can purchase Seasonal Workamping for a Living: How We Did It in ebook or paperback formats.
